Earthquake hits Lahore, Islamabad and nearby areas

At approximately 2:30 pm on Thursday, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and nearby areas encountered a powerful earthquake.

The intense tremors lasted briefly before diminishing. In the capital city, individuals emerged from tall buildings as a precaution.

The seismic activity extended to Peshawar, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Regions such as Malakand, Upper and Lower Dir, Kohat, and Swat reported experiencing both mild and substantial tremors from the earthquake.
