Islamabad is visited by a lot of people from other cities in Pakistan and they mostly come here for jobs or studies. I was also one of them a few years ago and the one thing I wanted most was a cafe to just sit and relax, have a cup of coffee and work on my laptop.
It took me some bad experiences (would not name them lol) and a lot of cafe hopping to find the places I was comfortable with. So let me share some of the places in Islamabad that I thought were great to go and work at if you are working remotely or want to have a place where you can go and do some extra work on your laptop.

Gloria Jean’s Coffees in Safari Villas 3
I was a fan of Gloria Jean’s and I used their branch at Barkat Market Lahore a lot, so the first time I went to Islamabad I looked if they had any branches there too. And when I visited their brand in Safari Villas, I must say that the experience exceeded my expectations.
This cafe is in a very calm and quiet place and it’s the only cafe there near a small park. Also, it is not very crowded all the time and you can always find a spot there to just sit and work on your laptop. There are also multiple charging points to use which is a plus point if your battery is not very good.
Their coffee and desserts are good, I love the chocolate lava cake that they serve. The staff there is also very friendly and they let you sit there for as long as you want without staring at you all the time. Their sofas and chairs there are very comfy and easy to sit on for long periods of time.

Burning Brownie in Beverly Centre
I still cannot imagine why Lahore does not have a burning brownie branch. This one is one of the best cafes that I have ever been to.
You can sit there for hours and work on your laptop and drink their iced latte which is my favorite.
You can always find other people there who are also doing meetings, working on their laptops, or students studying books there.
Burning Brownie is a very welcoming place and although it is visited by a lot of people, still you don’t have people speaking too loud and disturbing others.
There are outdoor and indoor sitting there and charging points are available outdoors as well. Chairs are comfortable but not too comfortable so you still stay sharp while working.
Café Sol in The Riviera
Cafe Sol is a unique place and they have a lot of activities at their cafe, but it is also best for sitting and working on your laptop.
The ambience is very comfy and relaxing and the sitting area is also good. The seats are comfortable and the place is quiet for you do not get disturbed.
Their prices are also not very high so you can have a cup of coffee and a little dessert while working without breaking the bank.
Wild Wings at Central Park DHA 2
If you want to do part-time work on your laptop and looking for a place where you can also eat good food then Wild Wings is the best place for you. They have one of the best wings I have ever tasted in my life (although they are also the most expensive ones).
Their outside sitting is best for just sitting and doing your study or work. The staff is very welcoming and professional and you can look at the green grass and trees while working there.
You can also play foosball if you want at that restaurant. The only problem with this one is that if there is a popular match happening, they probably will not allow you to sit at their restaurant unless you order something expensive.
JugMug Courtyard in PWD
JugMug Courtyard in PWD is also a restaurant that is a little fancy but still, you can spend a lot of time there without being bothered and working. I think if you live near Soan garden, PWD, and Police Foundation, this is the best place to go and spend time on your laptop.
Their sitting place is very good and comfortable, and you always have place to sit there. The only issue with this one is that they do not have indoor space.
Their food quality is top notch and I personally love their chicken chilly dry a lot.
Gloria Jean’s Coffees at Central Park DHA 2
I know I mentioned Gloria Jean’s before, but if you know about this franchise you know that every branch has its own taste and feel to it. Their branch which is located in Central Park DHA gives a totally different vibe than the other ones. It has a whole section which is outdoors and even if you sit inside the walls are of glass so you can see outside easily and still enjoy the quietness and work on a laptop or do meetings. Every time it rains, it is really beautiful to just sit there, drink coffee and look at the garden nearby. The staff is very friendly and professional. I usually take chocolate lava cake from there which is my favourite.
So these were the places that I really liked in Islamabad for just sitting, chilling, and doing work on my laptop. These are my personal favorite. I am sure there are other places in Islamabad that are like these or maybe better.
